Ruijie grew up in the city of Fuzhou, Fujian, China and immigrated to Boston with her family when she was fourteen.  She learned English as a second language through high school while maintaining her Mandarin through interactions with families and friends. 

卓睿婕在中国福建福州市长大, 十四岁时随家人移时民波士顿.  她在学校学习英语为第二语言, 同时透过与家人和朋友的互动保持普通话的發展.

Ruijie obtained a Bachelors degree in Marketing from Bentley University, and Masters of Business Administration from Boston University. While she's not a formally trained teacher, she has always been passionate about keeping the Chinese language and culture alive. 

Ruijie 在本特利大学获得市场营销学士学位, 并在波士顿大学以工商管理硕士毕业.  虽然她没有受过正式的教师培训, 但她一直热衷于保育语言和中华文化.

Having co-founded SSCS, Ruijie has been a teacher, Mandarin Program Director, and Operations Administrator. She is now responsible for the day-to-day operations, enrollment, and general maintenance of the school, as well as providing support to Program Directors in matters of staffing and training of new teachers.

作为南岸中文学校的联合创始人, Ruijie 曾担任教师、普通话主任和运营主任.  目前负责学校的日常运营、招生和活动策划

等事务, 并为项目主任在人员配备和培训新教师方面提供支援。

When she's not working at SSCS, Ruijie is a Program Manager at a technology company.  Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending quality time with her husband and two children. 

在中文学校工作之外, Ruijie 受雇于科技公司当项目经理.  在工余时间, 她喜欢旅行、打网球、及与丈夫和两个孩子享受家庭乐.

Francisca was born and raised in Hong Kong.  As an early teen, she immigrated to the US with her family, living in Queens, NY till after college. Later on, she moved to Boston, MA and pursued a Master's Degree in Elementary and Special Education.  It has been two decades since she became a public school teacher!

Francisca 在香港出生和長大. 十幾歲時隨家人移民到美國, 住在紐約皇后區直到大學畢業.  後來搬家到麻省波士頓, 並攻讀小學和特殊教育的碩士學位.  轉眼間, 她已當了公立學校教師二十年!

While Cantonese is her mother tongue, Francisca had learned English and Mandarin in school, which stayed in a low level of proficiency until she had real-life experiences with the languages.  With this background as well as knowledge gained from being an ESL teacher, Francisca firmly believes that language cannot be meaningfully gained and retained without consistent exposure and practical uses.

廣東話是 Francisca 的母語.  雖然在學時也學習英語和普通話, 但熟練程度一直很低, 直至在生活中有機會使用到, 經過沉浸才得到進步.  憑藉這些個人經驗和當 ESL 老師的知識, 她堅信語言需要有持續接觸和實際使用才能有意義地學懂和保存.

This is Francisca's 8th year with SSCS.  She has been a teacher and then a Program Director, and has participated in school events such as Lunar New Year celebrations and curriculum development.  In recent years, promoting and preserving Cantonese has become her new passion.

這是 Francisca 在南岸中文學校工作的第八年了.  她曾是教師再擔任粵語主任, 也一直參與䇿劃農曆新年慶典和創建課程等活動.  近年, 她更熱衷於參與推廣和保育廣東話的相關計劃.

Born and raised in Wuhan, China, Summer's passion for language and education brought her to Boston College for graduate school. With over ten years of experience, she is now a full-time high school Chinese teacher, dedicated to share her language and culture with the new generation of students.

江山出生于中国武汉, 对语言与教育的热爱驱使她远赴波士顿学院攻读研究生.  如今, 拥有十余年教学经验的她已成为一名全职高中中文教师, 致力于向新一代学生传授中华语言文化精髓.

Summer has been a teacher at SSCS for over 4 years, and has participated in curriculum planning and other school activities.  Now as a Program Director, she will be able to use her expertise in language education to improve teaching and learning.
